How To Care For Your Hand-Poured Candles

Because your beeswax candles were poured with love, let’s make sure they last for as long as they can

Here are some of my favorite candle care tips to ensure a great and safe burn from your new candle.

As you know, my candles are made largely of beeswax. The remainder is a blend of 100% natural, FDA-approved, biodegradable coconut, palm, and soy. My candles are also:

  • vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free;

  • recyclable, carcinogen-free, phthalate-free;

  • paraben-free, and MUTAGEN-FREE¹

Upon receiving your candle, you may or may not notice slight cracking in the wax or white film within the jar. This is to be expected with beeswax as it cures. It will disappear as you burn your candle, and is caused by the wax shrinking as it hardens/cures. Curing is essential for beeswax before burning and also plays an integral role in both the hot and cold fragrance throw. I do all I can to prevent these imperfections, but please know it is a natural characteristic and has absolutely zero effect on burn quality or the life of your candle!

Most importantly, beeswax burns hotter than most other waxes. As such, it's important to TRIM your wick with EVERY lighting to 1/4". Avoid burning ANY candle for longer than 4 hours. If your wick begins to flicker or mushroom, simply blow out the flame, trim the wick, and relight it!

I welcome any and all feedback you're willing to share. Please send a message to me if you have any issues with your candle(s), and I will happily refund or replace them free of charge.

Cheers to having a happy, healthy candle experience!
